About Enability

Our History

Since our founding in 20155, Enability has been dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare and education to our clients. Our team of educators, clinicians, professors, engineers and researchers have more than 20 years of experience in the field of rehabilitation.

As rehabilitation is a life-long process, we are ensuring continued improvement in health and function by implementing the latest research findings and advancements in technology.

Our unique approach to rehabilitation is driven by the following Guiding Principles:

1) Applying research findings for patient care: While extensive research has been conducted in the field of rehabilitation, the majority of information is hidden in publications that are inaccessible to the person in need. We are converting complex research findings into simple solutions that are easy to understand and easy to implement.

2) Understanding the uniqueness of each condition: Each person is unique, and so is their rehabilitation needs: We are rejecting the “one-treatment fits all” approach to rehabilitation. We are adopting an individualized treatment system which incorporates a holistic method and addresses the unique needs of each person.

3) Embracing a comprehensive approach: We realize that it takes a team for the complete rehabilitation of a person. The team includes (i) clinicians for providing direct clinical care; (ii) caregivers for help and support at home; (iii) manufacturers for producing the right technology to meet the needs and (iv) researchers for developing new knowledge and effective techniques. We are therefore empowering the complete team through various services which ultimately benefit the person with limitations.

Our Mission: To improve the quality of life for people with physical limitations by enabling the patients, caregivers and clinicians through rehabilitation services, education and innovative products.

Our Vision: Improved healthcare services and quality of life through application of research.

Our Partners

Our Services

CONSULTANCY & RESEARCH

We provide consulting services for clinical research, especially rehabilitation research. Our research consulting services are geared towards: Formulating a research question, designing the study methodology, collecting data, writing reports, manuscripts and conference presentations.

Our team members are professors at renowned universities, serve on editorial boards of various journals and possess excellent writing and presentation skills.  Whatever your research needs are, we can consult at any stage of the research to ensure successful completion of your project.

Manufacturers know that designing a product is easy. Designing a functional device that can replace a body part, support body movement or augment everyday functional task can be challenging. As manufacturers are constantly looking for the next great idea and the competitive edge in the rehabilitation arena, finding the right expert could be a daunting task. The majority of product designers have an engineering background, and they lack the clinical knowledge about the disability and the knowledge of functional anatomy, which are key drivers for a successful product.

Our team of clinicians and engineers have expertise in designing products for the rehabilitation industry as well as performing rehabilitation research. As a result, we can consult on the development of innovative products, that are suitable for a particular disability and is backed by experimental research.

ANALYTICS

Our analytical services are geared towards researchers and manufacturers who are interested in the statistical analysis of data and its logical interpretation.

Analysis of data and its correct interpretation are the most challenging aspects of clinical or corporate research. Incorrect analysis could lead to erroneous results, and may not answer the research question. Just as people looking at the same thing see it differently, data can be interpreted in different ways. Correct interpretation is the key that determines the failure or success of a project.

REHABILITATION

We apply the latest rehabilitation research for improving health, function and quality of life. We firmly believe that each person has unique needs and the "same treatment for all" method is not the best approach for rehabilitation.

Losing a body part or acquiring a disability can be a traumatic experience, not just for a person, but also for their family members. With the huge amount of information available on the internet, navigating through the web and finding the right information, the right treatment and the appropriate equipment can be an overwhelming task.

We understand the challenges faced by you and your family members in finding the right direction. Our team of clinicians, doctors and engineers can be your guide in this difficult journey. Our information is backed by sound research and is customized to suit your condition and needs

EDUCATION

Education is the cornerstone of our service model. We understand the importance of creating and disseminating knowledge for the benefit of society. We provide educational services to clinics, hospitals, educational institutions and manufacturers.  Our educational courses are designed for students, clinicians, researchers and engineers.

We create custom courses based on a subject area (e.g. amputation and amputee rehabilitation) or a specific topic (e.g. wheelchairs for developing nations). We have created educational seminars and courses in several areas of rehabilitation.

Our team members have experience in teaching courses at universities and educational institutions.  We have also presented at various international conferences on disability and rehabilitation.
